1. Introduction

These Official Competition Rules (“Rules”) govern participation in all Crowd442 football prediction competitions. By entering any competition, participants agree to comply with these Rules in addition to the Crowd442 Terms & Conditions.

2. How to Play

  1. Players must register a valid Crowd442 account before participating.
  2. Each competition round consists of football matches selected by Crowd442.
  3. Players shall select one (1) match from the available fixtures for that competition round.
  4. Each selected match contains ten (10) football prediction questions.
  5. Players must answer six (6) questions of their choice from the ten available questions before the competition entry deadline.
  6. Once the competition entry period closes, submitted answers cannot be edited or changed.

3. Scoring System

Each correctly answered question carries a predetermined point value based on its difficulty:

Easy Question — 10 ptsMedium Question — 15 ptsHard Question — 30 pts

Points are awarded only for correctly answered questions.

4. Winner Qualification

Each competition round is decided under one of the two rules below. Rule 2 only comes into effect when Rule 1 produces no qualifiers.

Rule 1 — Standard Qualification

  • Every competition round has a qualification score set by Crowd442 (currently 70 points for this round, shown on the pitch and in your dashboard for that round).
  • If a participant’s score from their six (6) answered questions is equal to or greater than that round’s qualification score, the participant qualifies as a winner.
  • Where multiple participants qualify, the prize pool shall be shared equally among all qualified winners.

Rule 2 — Fallback (Nobody Qualifies)

  • If no participant in a competition round reaches that round’s qualification score, the qualification rule changes automatically: the participant with the single highest score in the round becomes the winner instead, even though the qualification score was not reached.
  • If two or more participants are tied for that highest score, they shall all be declared winners and shall split the prize pool equally.
  • This rule guarantees that the prize pool is always paid out to a winner, provided at least one paid entry exists in the competition round.

5. Prize Distribution

  • Of every entry fee paid for a competition round, eighty-five percent (85%) shall be allocated to that round’s prize pool, and fifteen percent (15%) shall be retained by Crowd442 as a platform fee to cover the costs of operating, maintaining, and administering the service.
  • The prize pool available for distribution to winners shall consist of the cumulative eighty-five percent (85%) share of all paid entry fees for that competition round, together with any promotional or additional prize contribution Crowd442 may elect to add.
  • Winners shall receive prizes in accordance with the prize structure published for that competition round.
  • Crowd442 reserves the right to verify the identity of winners before prize distribution.
  • Where multiple winners exist, prizes shall be divided equally unless otherwise stated.

6. Competition Settlement

  • Competition results shall become final when the competition round is officially settled by Crowd442.
  • Crowd442 reserves the right to delay settlement where necessary to verify official football results or resolve technical issues.
  • Once a competition has been officially settled, the published results shall be deemed final.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

To preserve the fairness, integrity, and proper operation of the competition, Crowd442 reserves the right to apply the rules below where exceptional circumstances arise.

Postponed, Cancelled or Abandoned Match

If a participant’s selected match is postponed, cancelled, or abandoned and cannot be used for scoring, that fixture shall be removed from the round. The remainder of the round shall still complete on the matches that were played.

  • The affected competition entry shall be declared void and shall not be scored.
  • The original entry fee shall be refunded in full to the participant’s Crowd442 wallet as soon as the fixture is marked postponed, cancelled, or abandoned.
  • The participant shall be notified in-app and on their wallet statement (for example, “Match postponed — [round name]” or “Match abandoned — [round name]”).
  • That fixture shall no longer count toward the round prize pool. Total entry fees, the eighty-five percent (85%) winners’ share, and the fifteen percent (15%) Crowd442 fee shall be recalculated using only the remaining paid entries.
  • The leaderboard shall display Postponed or Abandoned on the voided entry so participants can see why it was not scored.
  • Participants who played other fixtures in the same round shall remain in the competition. Once every remaining playable match has finished, the round shall be settled and qualified winners paid from the updated prize pool.
  • If every fixture in the round is postponed, cancelled, or abandoned, the round itself shall be cancelled and all paid entries refunded.

Official Match Results

Competition scoring shall be based on official football results obtained from Crowd442’s designated football data provider or any other recognised official football source where necessary.

Official disciplinary decisions, appeals, or amendments made after the competition has been officially settled shall not alter the published results.

Technical Failure

Where technical failures, football data provider interruptions, or system errors prevent accurate scoring, Crowd442 may delay the publication of results until official data has been verified.

Administrative Errors

Where any competition question contains an obvious administrative error, incorrect wording, or an impossible outcome, Crowd442 reserves the right to declare the affected question void or take any other reasonable action necessary to preserve fairness.

Fraud and Abuse

Crowd442 reserves the right to suspend, disqualify, or permanently remove any participant found to have:

  • Operated multiple accounts;
  • Attempted to manipulate competition results;
  • Used bots, scripts, automated software, or any unfair method;
  • Violated the Crowd442 Terms & Conditions.

Any prizes obtained through fraudulent activity may be cancelled or recovered.

General Competition Decisions

Where circumstances arise that are not expressly covered by these Official Competition Rules, Crowd442 reserves the right to make any reasonable decision necessary to preserve the fairness, integrity, security, and proper operation of the competition.

All decisions made by Crowd442 in such circumstances shall be final.
